8 celebrity-owned wine brands
If you’re a celebrity who loves wine, what else would you do with your money other than start your own wine brand? You may be surprised to know there are a lot of them out there.
Many of your favourite celebrities would have entered this business including John Legend, Cameron Diaz and Post Malone.
But of all the choices, it’s hard to know which ones to try and which ones to miss. So we’ve compiled a list of our 8 favourite and best-tasting, celebrity owned wine brands of 2022.
Let’s go!
Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt’s Miraval
Although Brad and Angelina’s foray into the world of wine began while the pair were still married, their vineyard’s success has only grown in recent years. The brand’s 2019 vintage stems from Provence and is an airy and balanced rose, sold in a chic and glamourous bottle.
Jay-Z & Armand de Brignac
Few things are more luxe than pouring a glass of Jay-Z’s Armand de Brignac brut. With hints of peach, apricot, orange blossom and brioche, it’s a perfectly light yet toasty sip. Retailing at £250.00 per bottle, the brut & lavish gold-mirrored bottle also makes the champagne an
ideal gift.
In 2021, Jay-Z sold a 60% stake in the brand to LVMH’s wine and spirits arm Moet Hennessy for an undisclosed sum.
Snoop Dogg & Cali Red
To add to Snoop Dogg’s many ventures, he also owns his own red wine brand. This wine blends together petite shiraz and zinfandel grapes. It has flavours of red fruit and darkly toasted oak.
Sarah Jessica Parker’s Sauvignon Blanc
This classy little package packs a passionfruit punch — from the first splash and sniff, aromas of the tropics dance in the glass. Blending the craft of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with the sophistication of a New York City It Girl, this is basically Sex and the City in a bottle.
Francis Ford Coppola & Diamond Collection, Coppola Winery
This is already a well-known brand. We’re not sure if Francis Ford is more well-known for his wines or his Hollywood career (he directed The Godfather). Either way, there are a wide variety of wines available from his winery in Sonoma. The crown jewel of the Coppola Diamond collection, this California-grown Bordeaux blend is a full-bodied, fruity-spicy red that’s the perfect companion for dinner and a movie.
Cameron Diaz’s Avaline
Cameron Diaz & wine collaboration with friend and entrepreneur Katherine Power breaks down the complex nuance around wine, and rather just lets the drink speak for itself. Their first two wines include a crisp, floral Spanish white and a zesty, fresh French rosé.
Mary J. Blige & Pinot Grigio
This gorgeously labelled Pinot Grigio is another favourite amongst the ladies. Blige works with the Fantinel Estate in Italy’s north-eastern province of Friuli Venezia Giulia to produce her collection of wine, including this blush-coloured pinot grigio. This wine has a very light and fruity flavour with notes of peach, melon and berries. It gets the unique colour from the grape skins, which are included in the maceration process.
John Legend & Rosé
There are a lot of celebrities who have launched their own rosé, but one of our favourites is John Legend’s rosé brand. He works with Raymond Vineyards in Napa Valley to produce a line of wines, including this crisp rosé with notes of strawberry and white nectarine.
