Established in the 16th century by Jean de Pontac, Haut-Brion is one of the oldest wine estates in Bordeaux. Haut-Brion’s terroir, characterized by gravelly soils and a favorable maritime climate, provides the ideal conditions for cultivating Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot grapes.
