OWNER

Pierre Emmanuel Taittinger

SUB-REGION

Montagne de Reims

Taittinger, an esteemed Champagne house with a legacy spanning nearly a century, is renowned for its commitment to crafting exceptional sparkling wines. Founded in 1734 in Reims, France, by Jacques Fourneaux, the Taittinger family acquired the estate in 1932, and since then, their name has become synonymous with elegance, finesse, and tradition.

With vineyards spread across some of Champagne’s most prized terroirs, Taittinger meticulously tends to its vines, cultivating Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes of exceptional quality. The estate’s dedication to sustainable viticulture and traditional winemaking techniques ensures that each Champagne reflects the unique characteristics of its terroir and the house’s signature style.

Despite its global renown, Taittinger maintains a considerable production level, with average yearly output totaling around 6 to 7 million bottles of Champagne. This commitment to quality and consistency allows the estate to reach a broad audience of Champagne enthusiasts around the world while upholding its reputation for excellence.

Taittinger’s portfolio includes a range of acclaimed Champagnes, including its flagship cuvée, Taittinger Brut La Française, as well as prestige cuvées such as Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs and Comtes de Champagne Rosé. Each Champagne is celebrated for its finesse, complexity, and expressive fruit character, earning high praise from critics and consumers alike.

“If you wouldn’t own a wine for 10 years, then don’t own it for 10 minutes”

Our approach is straightforward: we endorse exclusively the most acclaimed vintages from premier wine estates worldwide. By prioritising top critic ratings, we secure lasting value for our investors’ collections. The graph below shows the most recent vintages with at least 10 years’ worth of performance. Every year the estate will produce a new vintage for that year, however Taittinger is only produced in years where they feel the quality is high enough. Please bear in mind that once a vintage has been produced, it matures in the barrel for 5-10 years before being released on to the market.
